Does anyone else's chickens look like drowned rats? Gah, and then they stand oblivious to the fact they're right under a huge dripping branch. The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

Whew! That's great news. Hope I have the same luck. I have chicks on day 22 tomorrow and they're from the incubator that fell open. Hope I see something happening tomorrow!

I have lav silkies, Wheaten Marans, Wheaten Ameraucanas and Black Copper Marans in there. I'll be so bummed if nothing hatches. I bought a new incubator to hatch in because I went a little crazy and couldn't lockdown in my regular ones. I have a Genesis Hovabator. People seem to like them but I'm used to being able to see a computerized temp and humidity. I've been spoiled! I assume this one is right but it's nervewracking! On the plus side, it hold a lot of eggs for lockdown! I'd love to wake up to some peeping, pipping, zipping or chirping!

I think my F in Law has the Genesis Hovobator. His Marans have presented to be a hatching challenge for him. I personally think his hatch rate is a little low. Alot of the eggs develop, but never hatch out. I'm not sure of his percentages. The top does come off easily......
I ordered me a new Brinsea but it's not here yet.

I want to share a miracle with you, all my chickens grew bills and are now quacking. Who knew?!?!

Enough with the rain already!!!
