You saw a hummingbird? Seriously?
Okay, maybe DH isn't crazy. He said he saw one go by yesterday while helping me gather eggs. But I figured it was waaaaay too early. And we are a bit more north than you are. It really was not very warm here yesterday.

I cancelled all but one scheduled appointment for the day. I had 6 lined up but the weather was just so nasty and I did not want to be soaked to the bone while finishing chores up so next weekend may work out better, though a few are coming during the week, so that will help.
Betsy (Renegaderidgefarm) managed to take home some hens, a roo and some hatching eggs. Just don't tell Randy!

We had a major storm last night. My kids slept through. The chicks did not! They were causing quite a ruckus downstairs! As soon as this cold wet goes away, they are off to the farm! My husband left for London yesterday morning and while he's been gone, I have reconfigured my Chicken World and now need 5 more coops. Not full size ones. Just something short that can hold about 10-15 chickens. I may either need to build some and buy some this week while he's gone. Otherwise he'll say no.

I do a lot of asking for forgiveness in this marriage. Told the kids to bundle up. We're off to the farm and it's COLD outside!

I hate London with a passion. Its a big old dirty city that moves to fast for me. Other than that I hope he enjoys his stay.
Where do you buy your coops from...have you bought any from the Minnanites down on Hwy72. We bought a big play house years ago from them when we lived in Cross Hill, then when we moved to Waterloo we called them to come move it for us. Their building are sturdy and will last you..and your chickens a life time.

Ok here is my weekend (month actually) project. Just a little more wire and some chickens and I am in business. What do you think?

Wegler's? That's where I bought my four coops. And a garden shed. And two run-ins. They know me well! I don't need anything quite so fancy (or expensive). I was thinking about seeing Ron and asking if he can custom make something for me. You're right. They're great! He made mine into coops for me.

When you come to my house you are about 4 miles from this one. Remember me telling you about the Blue Ridge Feed store? Tootertown is there, right on Hwy 14. I have heard good prices being gotten for chickens there but I don't go. I won't sell at these places and I certainly would never buy from them. Did that years ago with horses and hated it.

I was thinking it would be a good way to get rid of some of my extras if I can't sell on CL. Of course, I would have to find the extras first

I was gonna go by blue ridge but could not remember where the heck it was at
