Yes! We are close! fun fun!
I am headed off to Savannah tomorrow to run [my first] 5k - the susan komen race for the cure. Wish me luck!!!

I don't get up your way too often - I was in Beaufort a few months back doing the extreme homemakover show though.

If I panic about something with my birds, I'm calling on you since your local.

You better watch out - I didn't even know I had to PUT them in their hen house the first 2 nights... hehe!

What do you mean "doing the extreme homemaker show"? I LOVE that show, did you work on a project with them?

Figure what the heck - may as well add to the magpies while they are still little bitty babies!

So glad you got the little polish from Amy too! It is all I can do not to try to sneak birds home every time I go up there! I love love love her cochins!

Nice meeting you today. You are funny! I was still laughing about the ink jets after you left.

I can just imagine a little hen backing up to the paint counter at home depot and saying "fill 'er up!"

Or even having to get refills like for printer ink cartridges

Cindy. I live just outside of Camden (Cassatt). I would be curious to see how your Delewares and Buff Rocks turn out. I keep New Hampshires, Delewares, and Barred Rocks. Someday with a little more space, I would like to add Buff Rocks. Good ones are hard to find. Nice to see another poultry enthusiast in the area.

I do not apply anything to my birds until they are 8 wks + . I don't need to with how I start them (at least not yet). Others may feel or do otherwise. The DE may of not been the cause. It didn't seam to hurt the others.

Poor Moonchild! Too many roos! Ack!
As we were going through putting birds in and out of the brooder room I tried to check the other JGs. Roos!

Was there something in my hatcher that made them roos? Was the sun too bright, the moon too full, the heat too hot or the hen was just mad that day she laid them????
barnie.gif

I still may keep a blue roo to go with my big black mamma jammas! You know I need another breed to hatch, right?

I am glad you picked up a JG pullet and now you have a marvelous display of cute chickery! I take no blame for the Polish!

I have a hard time seeing the color on the JG but they are definitely very blue. The comb on the one is back is smaller.......I am just praying.

If I could find my camera I would show you all photos of how much Nicole and I did on the duck coop. It is turning out really nice since I don't have to work alone on it. It certainly helps to have extra hands and ideas!

Well, off to open the gates. A full day ahead of me. Last minute requests for chicks even with the weather all nasty like this. My brooder room floor is soaking wet from the rain blowing in during the night.
I swear, if not one thing then another! Like the busted up kennel slammed into the other one again last night with the winds and my 2 blue Ameraucanas got out. No problem to catch and put them back up after DH and I got the stupid messed up pen off of the other one. I have got to cut those tarps off. Okay, yes, right this minute!
