I can tell you, I am sick of this wind!

Every time I set something down it goes blowing off and I have to chase it. Or I get the unhandy way of trying to pour water in a container by holding on to both containers. Not too easy for me!

Just being out in this wind is sickening to me. For one thing, I work in the brooder room, get all nice and toasty and then have to go outside to fill waterers or feed someone or rescue someone...OMG! Sweating in the wind is cold!

Remind me I hate the wind when the temps are in the mid 90s and I am begging for a breeze!

I am not too sure these folks would drink tea but I think I will get a variety box and make a basket with that. And maybe regular tea bags added, too.
I find all sorts of materials to use in these baskets and the baskets themselves at Goodwill. One year we took 7 baskets to put in the raffle and made over $200 from them for the club. I bet the stuff didn't cost us $30. I put a lot of work into them and don't think I have it in me anymore. But I would like to try and make them as nice as possible.

And again, I had a great visit with Mary Bell! We love talking chickens and I got lots of honey. Not just any honey but her wonderful creamed honey!

And we shopped a bit at TSC. I was looking for those Tetra Tint chicks they are supposed to have. They had about 15 chicks and that was it. Mostly assorted bantams but a few Cornish.

I have been to at least 2 (maybe 3) different TSC's and never did find those darn tetra tints. Although the one in Spartanburg did have some at one time that started with a T.......dude was not pronouncing it anything like tetra tints though. More like Teatesaranints or something. IDK. According to that person, they were a TSC exclusive. He said him & another employee looked all over the internet for info on them and found nothing.

That is only TSC I saw them though.

She lives like 5 minutes from me. I got some B/B/S Orpington eggs and chicks from her. I am definately going to have to try her honey!

Do not feel bad.........all these years of being around dang chickens & I lost 9 last night. Did not even think to go check them. I had some young ones in a wire cage inside my layer pen to get them used to each other .... it was not flat on the ground but all were dead today along with one of the 4 month olds that liked to roost on it. I swear I thought it got hit by lightning the way they were all laying. None were burned though - One did look like it had a burn on its neck but that was the only one. That was costly error on my part. At least 5 (maybe even 7) of those were the expensive chicks from Piedmont Farm & Garden.

OK gang - y'all are tempting me........maybe I can talk DH into going with me to visit. Heck I love honey. Well I love molasses more... but only get it once a year.

Mary's honey is out of this world! I love honey but it usually gives me a severe headache.
I tried some she gave me a few months ago and fell in love!!! No headache either!
It was the creamed honey and I like it better than just regular honey. I ate it a lot for breakfast but Mary said it has been helpful in helping people lose weight if they eat a bit at night. Heck yeah!

I have read a few posts on the Tetra tints. They are just mixes (hybrids) but are supposed to be great egg layers developed just for TSC. I wanted to get a few to try. You know me, never got enough! I always want to try something new. Okay..... within reason.

And which one of you is MaryBell? I LOVE honey but I've never had creamed honey, so what is that? And where can I get it? AND - I've been searching high and low for blue orpingtons without any luck. Ya'll have been holding out on me. I have to have some some how. I have a beautiful blue orpington roo that is very lonely. I only have buff orp hens. So can anyone share some orp hens/pullets/chicks/eggs???? Pretty Please
