yes i am hatching them now. i will have some for sale in about 2 months. these are not hatchery stock. mine are from some of the top breeders in the usa

Oh no. Sounds expensive. I just saw a photo when I googled them and thought a hen would be a pretty addition to the flock once my coop is finished in a few weeks!

Right now I have 3 barred rocks, 1 leghorn, 2 cochins, 3 EE's, and a definite mutt rooster I got from Treehouse Nursery a month and a half ago (I'm sure you know of it since you're from Sumter) and a TSC RIR pullet that became a rather gorgeous RIR ROOster. And if they ever get big enough I'll have 3 silver phoenixes to put in the coop too and a possible silkie. I have 5 spoiled seramas and a spoiled bantam who won't be in the coop. Too much height disadvantage.

they are not expensive . they are alot cheaper than what i paid for my stock. 2 yrs ago. they do not eat no more than a cheap chick. and i will promise you will not be dissapointed. i have got to raise some replacement for myself

Hm, I might be interested. Especially since you said they will be available still in a few weeks. I need to finish treating for the cocci and get it under control before adding to my flock. I'm halfway through treatment now and already seeing a huge improvement. The rainy weather has not helped me any though. I need a few hot dry summer days to come up and kill the oocysts.

How old will the birds available be? Do you have a price yet? I have to pass everything through the hubby first.

And I think your BLRW are gorgeous! I have often drooled over them.

Since getting mine I totally see the appeal. But then I think my Wyandotte roos are exceptional. My SL and BLRW are sweet boys.
The BLRW is Buddy Henry and I have about 8 from Jerry Foley growing up now. And I have lots and lots of babies hatching and growing up from my Buddy Henry roo. One daughter is about ready to be put into breeding. I am so excited to expand my flock of the beautiful BLRW.

Brandy bought a pair from me. I think she said she loves hers, too. The little roo is protective of his girls though. My Guy would never think of being protective of the girls. He says do what you want with them, just feed me and love me. I guess he knows I would not hurt them. He probably is glad it isn't his turn to be weighed and checked for bugs.

Speaking of roos.... I think I must have a sign on my back that says "Peck Me." Not sure what's going on with some of these crazy silkies but they suddenly think they are Bad Boys. Ugh! And it's just me. They don't mind the kids at all. One even pecked my ankle as I was walking away. He and I are about to have a serious talk. Mama don't play that game!

mine came from foley and blue poultry. i raised about 250 last year and culled down to ten. but really the last 100 was hard to cull they were really to nice to call culls. but could not keep that many.they are as nice of a ckicken as you can get imo

I like the looks of the splash over the others, as well. My hens always seem to be splash and the roos are always dark. Typical of most breeds, I suppose. But I know that is not what they are hoping for when adding them to the standard.
They are just sweet, beautiful birds. And yes, I know, I say it about them all. I love all my "kids".

I have no idea how many I raised last year but not too many. I have tried not to sell too many this year so that I can grow my own flock up. i suppose I need bigger pens....or more.

Ha! Ha! I tried to get the new brooder into the coop by myself because it is pretty well finished and I was hoping to get some chicks in it today since they are driving me nuts running out of the brooder room every time I open the screen. And getting them in at night is almost impossible! Such heathens!
Anyhooo, .........I found I will have to take the door off the hinges and hope to goodness that it will fit in the coop that way! Doofus me! I thought for sure that door was 2 1/2 ft wide. It didn't help that I was doing it by myself but I beat, groaned and shoved it as much as possible and it wasn't going in.
And DH in his infinite wisdom asked me, "Did you turn it upside down and try that way?"
