Ouch!!!! What kinda bee was it?? I had to just kill a yellow hornet nest on my front porch~ felt kinda bad but they can't move in that close to me!

Only a wasp........ if it had been hornet or red wasp or yellow jacket.....I would have been in ER..

Nope. Did not have to use it! I think the darn allergy shots I did couple yrs ago actually started helping delay or stop my reactions.

I hate those darn pens........stupid things HURT. Almost as bad as a sting!

I ran in and did my grandma's old treatment, baking soda & water in a paste - and an ice pack - and a childrens benadryl premeasured dose thingy.

I got a little sick feeling, but laid down until it passed.....no throat swelling this time!

Last time I got stung - it was UGLY.

I got stung on the hand the other day. Ran inside and took two benadryl. It never progressed beyong hand swelling fortunately. I've been in the ER for allergic reactions before so didn't know if I was allergic to wasps. Apparently not. I need an epi-pen.....

My most severe reactions are to fire ants. Dr stopped the testing because of my reaction to it. We did not get to test my reactions to stings, so he said to work on the assumption that I would have same reaction since I already swell really bad from stings.

I have a dual dose epi-pen......

I cannot take benadryl normally. I do keep those premeasured doses of childrens benadryl..one of those knocks me out, but luckily it has never made me sick. Adult benadryl makes me sick as a dog. I try to keep benadryl cream on hand too........I have been known to use two spoons & smoosh an adult benadryl tablet and rub it straight on the sting or bite if I did not have cream on hand.

Matter of fact - I gotta find my epi-pen.......I was carrying it outside every single day...but I must have put it down because I cannot find it. I thought I put it in the kitchen window sill, or in the bathroom closet.......it is neither place.

She is here on BYC as SouthernBeeLady. She owns Honey Blossom Farm in Pickens SC. Her phone number on the jars is 864-878-4273.

If her other honey is a fantastic as her creamed honey then it is well worth the drive. However, she travels a bit around it seems to different cities for one reason or another so maybe she will head your way at some point and can meet you. I know she said something about going to a Poultry show but can't remember exactly what she said about it.
You all need to come down here in November for the bantam show in Clemson anyhow and stock up then.

I bought 6 or 7 jars from her about 6 weeks ago. Though I have shared a few jars and put some in the raffle at a show, I am on my last jar and will need to contact Mary for more fabulous honey very soon.

Dag gone! You must have sent the vibes this way.

I was about to come in the house at 9:30 and Jolie went to the brush pile and nosed out a Khaki Campbell that had gone broody in there! Blasted ducks are layers! Not broodies! They did not read the rule book! I did! I know these things now but they won't listen when I tell them....eggs, eggs, eggs!
Jolie walked her back down to the barn with her complaining the whole way. I opened the coop door and she went in. When I take Leah to work at 6 am

in the morning I will come back and get the eggs out and cover the nest so she won't go back.

Four blasted broody ducks! I got Muscovy because they are broody and the other breeds are supposed to be layers. Where is that danged old rule book? I am going to rewrite it in DUCK!
