Yes - that is the same lady. But if I take her word for it, she can buy peafowl feathers 5 for $1. My feathers range from 10 inches long to 56 inches long. I'm trying to determine a fair price before I meet with her. Needless to say, I'm not selling the bigger feathers for that price. I've checked ebay but there is so many auctions it's hard to tell what they are really selling for. There are a few websites but they don't all give sizes or exact quantity. One sells her feathers in bouquets. This is just a new thing for me.

The are now using the feathers, especially the hackle feathers, for putting braiding or whatever in to the hair. Steve Tyler made it a fad when he had a feather on American Idol. Now it is all the rage. The fly fisherman are upset because it is really cutting into their feather supply, since they mainly use the hackle feathers for tying flies.
They had a report about this on the news or in a magazine or something. The funny thing is, when I read it, I was so thrilled that I knew what they were talking about when they mentioned the hackle feathers. I would have had zero idea what they were talking about a few months ago.
I would think the pea fowl feathers could be worth quite a bit to the hair industry. The long ones would be awesome.

Well I don't think PumPum is gonna make it. I'm so confused about how she got better then back down. Although she is still with us she is weak. I have been giving her supplements to boost her up. But with no effect on her. So

that's such a cute baby!

I don't know your chicks symptoms since I just read your most recent post but have you considered cocci as a culprit? Weather this year has been perfect for it. And even if you treat the parasites little cysts will be in your soil for a long time. The chickens will usually be reinfected eventually if they are in the same coop on the same dirt. It seems to affect the weaker chickens or only affect them when there is an overload of cocci in the environment.

It's aggravating. *eye twitch*

Have you tried treating her with Sulmet? You would probably need an eyedropper or some thing to get enough in her. I have had several weak polish around here and not know for sure about cocci or not have treated with very good results.
