How about kids for sale? I have several people looking for Polish chicks, including some folks from NC. I know these 3 eggs in the bator will not be enough to go around should they hatch.

I have one very cute little roo left here unless these next customers take him. I'm waiting on my last customer of the day. Been meeting with people since 10:00 a.m. I gotta tell ya I don't know why I bothered to take a shower this morning. I was already sweating by 8:00 a.m. and I definately need another shower now.

Oh, sorry I got off topic - I always have polish eggs in the incubator. There are some due to hatch this weekend and then more after that. When people see them, they buy them. They are very cute. I keep wanting to save a few for myself but they always disappear.

They're here! They're here!

The eggs came from RedBug today!

All arrived in great shape, excellent packing and beautiful eggs!
Pick them up any time, Jackie. I just have to run a few boxes of eggs to the PO for shipment out myself but otherwise will be home.

I just sold 10 ducks so I am happy! Mostly males (no, not going for eating but rather for breeding on an Alpaca farm in NC) but I let 2 girls go, too from the Golden Cascades. I am so happy I don't have to feed those anymore. Whew! And this is from just word of mouth. I get the most customers that way. That makes me feel good.

Okay, Joy, then those Polish need to produce more!

They are cute kids.
I love how the youngsters look but if they are anything like the Silkies I always feel the need to give haircuts around the eyes.

Please let us know what the cocci hunt reveals. It could well be the heat and back towards 100 degrees come Friday.

Thanks! I'll let you know if there's cocci when I do the fecal..I'm sure there's some, as from what I've read basically they're just going to have to build up an immunity to it. But SHEESH this heat is RIDICULOUS. I'm not sure how accurate the thermometer on my porch is but it is in the shade and is reading over 100 degrees. This is crazy! I'm so looking foward to cooler weather! Here's hoping fall comes a little early (

doubt we'll be that lucky!)

Lou Ann and I are going to the swap, but we have no eggs to bring. We still have young ones starting out. We may have an Americauna rooster, that is if we figure out for sure he is a rooster before then. I'm going to get some new pictures of the two Americaunas together in the next couple of days and see what everyone thinks. Lou Ann could probably get by with a rooster, but she really wants to keep her neighbors happy and not take any chances. We thought the swap would be fun, even if we aren't swapping. Its a good way to meet the people on here and see lots of chickens.

That is Great!! I am glad they made it there fast and safe (or at least unbroken). I hate shipping eggs as I alway picture a postal worker standing as far away from a mail sack as they can get and trying to make a basket!!
