Hey, Pink! We have finally just finished putting the last run together. I ordered a new garden shed but it hasn't arrived yet. But at least all the chickens are back where they used to be! The weird thing was with that storm... no one around us had any damage. Apparently it just loved us!

Look what happened here today! A new lamb!

This ewe, Cocoa, lost her baby to the coyota back in the spring. Hopefully this one will be safe!

Oh how beautiful !!!!You need a pack of Piper's to gaurd your flocks/herds...Piper is my aust/chow mix and was taught to accept what is hers and defend at all cost!!!!!She's great with my chickens even though I know they get on her nerves!!! You still need to throw that party at your farm in the fall, or atleast I would love to visit you and also Joycats farm!!!! Amy's chicken ranch made me addicted to chickens even more than I thought it would!!!!!

she is beautiful... let me know if you need some help hunting the coyotes off your property.. Colton is an excellent shot, we cant have them killing your lambs...
Im glad to hear yall are almost back to normal otherwise in the farm.. that was just the craziest thing...

We lost our first three lambs this spring to the coyote. Then we caught and killed it. We then had three lambs and three goats born with no problem. Haven't heard the coyotes since so I'm hoping they're gone. We do however have a dog coming onto our property. He tore the screen off our paint silkie pen and killed one. Thankfully we drove up and caught him in the act. The next day, my husband got a shot at it. The dog yelped so he thinks he hit it. Unfortunately we saw the dog this afternoon after the lamb was born. It was at the back of the property. My husband took his gun out there but it ran off. Now it's dark. We don't have a barn.... yet!.... so we can't put the little one and the mama up. Hope it's still here in the morning. We do have all the sheep in one pasture and the donkeys and the goats in the next one. Fingers crossed!

I love visitors. Anyone is welcome anytime!

I still have to ask for help to get a coop and stuff made for them. but I just cant live without animals in my life and the chickens are really doing a wonderful job at fulfilling that space I had after I got hurt.

Maybe this fall all of us BYC'rs can all meet at one persons farm and have a big bb-q dinner and swap chicken stories or just stories and have a fun get together, when it cools off this fall..

Ok I know this is completely coming from left field, but I just made fried oreos. OMG they are sooooo good. How is that for a midnight snake. As my grandad used to say, " They were so good they make your tongue slap your brains out".
