I have a lot of silkie chicks for sale and I *might* have a few girls too. I need to decide what to do with the black lav/splits in my lav pen. I don't need them.

If a split black is bred to a straight black what would u get?

That is crazy! I've got WHL and I've never had any color other than white hatch out. AND I've never had a color egg other than brown. But I think that is just a product of that game we call "the gene pool." Something will always find its way out..eventually. Do you have and pics of them or your birds? I'm not doubting you at all. I just like pics and it helps sometimes

I am sorry to hear that...my dog got my BLRW roo but he survived...I knew my old man(the dog) would if he got a chance which is crazy since he is also the reason I dont have to worry about any other preds getting them....

I can say my two chicks from you are doing excellent...one is def a blue and the other(splash) is actually getting darker?! I am also thinking they are pullets. I was looking at pics of my others at this age and my 2 boys already had red combs showing and these dont look the same!

Jack,

Here are the birds I was talking to you about. Americaunas or just EE's? The red are roos and the yellow are hens. Not laying yet. They all have muffs and beards, but you can't really tell from these pics.
Thanks,
Deb
