Nikki - I would be furious as well. I think I would tell her that I was questioning the quality of her birds, but her integrity is starting to speak for itself. And I'd be glad to return the bird as soon as she sends the refund plus shipping and handling for the bird. This was HER mistake. Remind her of that and go ahead and tell her that if she isn't willing to make her mistake right then you will start a complaint through PayPal and they will help you. AND if that doesn't get her motivated then I would follow thru with PayPal AND I would tell her that you have many folks on BYC asking who in the world she is so that we don't buy from her - you may be inclined to share her name and email address. Now that's just my opinion, I don't take to kindly to people who take advantage. She sold you a poor pet quality bird and it seems to me that you paid for top show quality. It is her fault she's in this mess but I don't think it was a mistake. I think she knew what she was sending you and she didn't care. If I'd made that terrible mistake, I'd be very quick to make it right and I would be most apologetic. So, this is just my 2 cents and the way I'd probably handle the situation. Not saying that is the best way, maybe someone else will have a better idea but it makes my blood boil and I'd be speaking with my temper. You know, she'd be lucky to have you keep her cross beaked bird. I've had one little bantam like that and I gave it away to someone as a pet. I certainly wouldn't breed it as it is either genetic or caused from a virus - either way it's not a good thing to have. Do your research, find some articles online and send them to her. You may need them for a PayPal complaint anyway. I'd be proving to her that she is wrong on all accounts.
EXACTLY!
