You know I almost had Cleve convinced we need to drive his oversized sprinter van to the show. I think he finally realized the words coming out of his mouth and quickly backtracked. Haha!!!

I need to send you pics of what I think are 3 roos. My only frizzle that hatched is a black roo. He's so cute but I'm a single roo flock kinda girl. For now. Yeah.

Thank God I get paid every Friday. I'm bringing my money!!!!!!

Jackie, you may have to come by after work and pick up a few to put under the hen one night so she will think hers have hatched. But hopefully they will be hatching in the next day or two under her.

This is my little paint flock. They are white with black spots. Not much is known about them yet so it's kind of a work in progress. I'm working with some breeders around the country to learn more about them. I've been waiting since December for them to start laying.

I think my egg production is up a bit but maybe today's heat will put an end to that. Heat index is going to be 110.

Amy, where can I find more information about the Morganton show? I'd like to plan on going

Kimberly (Chickychickybaby) would probably know more about that than I would. I went in Feb to buy birds and support all of chickenkind but do not show so I can't really say. Maybe the website for the American Poultry Assc. would have it by now.

the NCPoultry group on Yahoo is where I get info for that show - Once it gets closer, there will be a post up on the chickenstock section of BYC with who to contact for registration etc.

I think in NC your birds have to be AI tested before showing. I do not think they test at the door anymore for anything.

Here is what is coming up in NC & SC
** 10-29-11 ** Morganton, NC ** Friendship Poultry Club
** 11-05-11 ** Morganton, NC ** OEGBCONC: Old English Jamboree
** 11-19-11 ** Clemson, SC ** Anderson all Bantam Club
** 11-26-11 ** Winston-Salem, NC ** Forsyth Fowl Fanciers Club
** 12-03-11 ** Orangeburg, SC ** Sandlappers Poultry Breeders
** 12-10-11 ** Smithfield, NC ** Cape Fear Feather Fanciers

Heads up everybody. I just got word that corn prices jumped again from $7 a bag $14 a bag. Purina feed has already raised their prices 75 cents per bag. I'm headed to get food now, holding my breath all the way. I'm thinking next year I need to grow corn....LOTS of corn!
