Susanne,

Made it home with your babies. They wre so tired they fell asleep in the feed dish. But everyone is tucked int. It was wonderful getting to meet you and your daughter and your gorgeous birds! I keep seeing "Santa" looking at me. My son really loves the blue egg layers, and he is going to be wanting to get some chicks from you, but first we gotta get another coop built! Never ending process. If you're down this way, Columbia-Saluda-Pelion etc, shoot me a pm and we'll meet you with those moscovies. If not, we'll bring you some when we come back up there, because I just saw too many beautiful birds today not to come back and get more chicks.

Thanks for the extras too, I am so grateful.

I really may have to take you up on that this coming spring. I cannot cannot cannot have any chicken additions until I get all my building done..at least that's what I keep telling myself. I still have an old storage building that we're in the process of converting into a coop, then I have a to build something for my call ducks...then I want to make a little bantam coop ( or a couple of them) grrr..it feels like I'll never finish!

I had to share this photo. It is a picture of some 4 1/2 month old Orpingtons that I hatched from eggs from Charles and Jody Hink. Next to them you can see my Wheaten Ameraucanas That Wheaten weighs 6 1/2 pounds, those Wheaten hens weigh 5-5/12 pounds. I may need stock in the grain companies!

Yaay! What did you bring home?

Got some wheaten marans chicks! I just went to check on them again . I know, how silly. they're bunking in a brooder in my room for right now. LOL I just love those wheatens, think they're the most beautiful of all the marans colors. How are you doing Lisa? You going to the chickenstock next weekend?
