I am sorry about Midas the dog and Midas the roo.

I hate to say it but I keep selling a lot of my birds. Terry is supposed to start a new job on Monday but it is not his usual caliber of jobs and doesn't pay as well so I have been selling my chickens. That way I don't have to feed as many and it helps with feeding the ones I am keeping. It is mostly my layer flock since I had so many extras and egg season will drop off in another week or so.

I still have Bo and his lady though and will probably hatch out a few chicks in the spring.

Though we are planning another sale up in NC for April so I may go ahead and start soon with my hatching so I can raise them up a good size for the sale.

Well, since it is windy today I suppose I will work on those horrid end of year taxes. I want to file early and go ahead and get my refund. I need everything done by Jan. 13 and just hate dealing with numbers, though my accountant does a lot of it, I still have to do the bulk to keep from paying too much to her. I am not a number person and hate sitting down running through everything. My saving grace is plenty of record keeping.

So today I bought my d'Uccles some freeze-dried mealworms(WOW kinda pricey) THEY went CRAZY!!!!

they loved the treat and I finally got them to eat spinach and oats. They are very picky eaters as chicks but as they get older they are opening up their minds to all new fooods!!!!!!! Now it's time to start trying to name them!!!!!
