Sorry I've been MIA. First trimester is less than fun. Sad to say That roaming got the best of Midas and he escaped the fence and got hit and killed by a car. DH is devastated and I'm really sad too.

I am really sorry about Midas! As far as the first trimester stuff, hang in there! It should get better--just keep thinking of the prize!!!​

Yesterday was the last day for the farmers market on Rutherford Road until April. (The local farmer section only)
I am looking forward to having some Saturdays free to work on Chicken and Bee projects.

Mine get the fresh ones and go nuts over them. I give them a few every day as well as any chicks in the other brooder. Two day old chicks certainly know what meal worms are!

I am thinking that was Mary's new SQ, or at least BQ, Silkies but could be wrong. She may have added others I do not know about yet.
I am anxiously awaiting photos of the beauties and can't wait for her to enter some in a show.
Although, then it gets hard for me to cheer all my friends on when they show the same breeds.

The new facebook page alot of us have joined has been great so far until today...new rude member who is also an advocate for cockfighting...if I leave the facebook please know it is not any of my beloved BYCers...I guess I am just upset by the arrogance of someone to bust good proven advice from someone I REALLY LOOK UP TO AND TRUST because thier way is the only way they feel is correct and assume others are not feeding good feed because they have used and agree with the advice!!!!

Now that I vented I hope everyone is having an AWSOME week before CHRISTMAS!! YAY!! My cochins from Amy look so great! I found my polkies a new good home so I can move and add a roo! The Ameraucana eggs are developing well for a christmas eve hatch!! And I think mt BLRWs from Farmer John are close to laying! What do ya'll think?
