Great pics! I think Guineas are such fabulously cool-looking birds! I'd have a flock of them here, but I can't stand the noises they make.

After a while you really do not notice the noise! I hear mine outside right now disturbed by something though--Oh, I guess I do hear the noise still....

I can tell they are georgeous and pure white (cause I am used to looking at my poor photos

What kind of dog is that in the background? I like him and am trying to decide on a yard dog to help with predators or at least bark and NOT eat the chickens!

He is a "throw away" dog as my dh calls them. Both of our dogs were set out on a isolated road nearby.
That is Sparkie. He is probably part lab. He has chased chickens and guineas before.
But he is a great guard dog and for some reason guards the babies. That is the reason I put my silkies in the fenced yard.
I would not trust him unless they were securely locked up. I would not totally trust any bird dog or retriever around chickens.
Both our dogs are good watchdogs. They will bark at coyotes, deer, people, skunks, almost anything that is not supposed to be in the yard. They smell skunky fairly often.
