Now I have to learn how to navigate around BYC all over again! Thank goodness all my auctions go off on Monday since that is something that won't be up and going for a while.
If I don't show up here by Wednesday you all will come looking for me, right?

I may be wandering around all lost and confuzzled somewhere.....

On a happy note....I pick up my new lavender Muscovy tomorrow!!!!!! Yippee!!! I have to drive over to another person's house but that is A OK with me! The drake is supposed to be the size of one of her geese. Oh, gosh, I hope not. Herman, my chocolate drake is big enough and Nicole had a heck of a time trying to get that big boy in her lap but I accredited that to her being small. Wish I had gotten a photo of that! With her sitting down he looked huge! If this boy is bigger at least I know he won't fly. I have a nice 15x60 ft run all ready for them. Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!

Yes, we are her 4th home and we think she is younger than 2 years old. Her teeth are really clean and bright, she plays like a puppy but is house trained, leash trained, does all kinds of tricks and most of all......wait for it........loves to roll in chicken and duck poo!!!

Leah has to give her a lot of baths. I am glad we have the oatmeal brand of shampoo and I immediately put her on Revolution. No use to check for heart worms if they can't treat anymore. I figure I will just treat her as if she does have them and be safe.
She is spoiled rotten here and goes everywhere I go in the truck. But she is most definitely Leah's dog. Loves her to pieces and whines terribly when we drop her off at school in the mornings. Then she has to stay with Grammy and she doesn't get as many walks or get to play as much because Grammy has to deal with those nasty chickens and ducks!

It is a cool photo because you can see the size difference but Jolie loves to play with Roxy and vice verso. And I found some paperwork for Jolie that Karen had given me and it looks like Jolie is probably 5 years old this spring. She was spayed back in the summer of '07. She sure doesn't act like it. But all the more reason I need to work on finding another one to help her.

Wow...it is going to be a super day!! Which is great so I can get some prep done for Dixies Bday bonfire party in 2 weeks!!Congrats Amy on finally getting your ducks and get an Iwanna...there is a one year old LGD boy for free( I would get the number but its now in the bottom of my brooder)...I still want a pup but may regret it...hoping for something in the 5-6 month range...I feel that will go best with my way of raising and meeting the Gator Dawg!!

I do have one question about LGD...My boomer was not fixed. He was the only dog/cat here not fixed. He NEVER left the property to chase ladies(only across street to woods to poo)and I always felt his being intact and marking his territory was a huge help.I think I will get a boy LGD but am undecided on the neuter thing...normally it would be an automatic do but wondering if not doing it will keep him more effective?? Hoping some of you can shed some light?? THANKS

I know Boomer was a fluke on not wandering for love...will a LGD be more worried about his flock or love??

It's always a risk that any unneutered animal that goes outside will reproduce. He might become more interested in finding mates than livestock guarding.

Why can't they treat for heartworms anymore?
