We are actually looking for someone that might process them and turn them into sausage--I guess that would be breakfast!

We ended up naming him Rumor, because he was not only the smallest, but also far from the prettiest one in the bunch. So the rumor was he would end up being gorgeous when he was grown. Now that he has gone through his ugly duckling phase, that "Rumor" has proven to be quite true and he is gorgeous. Not only does he know his name and will come running when called, he is also DH's new favorite, which I am quite pleased with since DH has had little to do with the chickens since the death of Big Daddy last summer. All the golden laced have grown a little, but still are on the small side. I have been talking with some breeders about working on the size issue. Maybe I will be able to find some very nice gold laced wyandottes to add in the mix this spring. I will try and get a picture of Rumor if I can get him to hold still long enough and send to you :)

I would love to see pictures of him! I am starting to pay more attention to egg size in the Gold Laced bunch. The girls have the weight but lay a small egg for the most part. The one hen I have kept is making the grade in size but she may have been from a good size egg. I will just have to watch and see, that is if I end up keeping them as they might get replaced by something else.

I am not liking BYC either. I felt like I was riding along in a BMW or Lexus and --poof-- I am in an old 1940's rattletrap of a truck (like the Beverly Hillbillies

). It may get me from here to there but is not efficient or comfortable.

I am sure BYC numbers are way down which will affect the advertising dollars.

I never wanted to join FB but it looks like that is going to be my best option. Just got to get enough time to research how to do it securely.

The BST site is a joke. I also do not think from what I have read on here that the decision makers had any idea how popular and useful the auction section was. Especially after Eggbid closed. This may be a good opportunity for someone to come up with a good site.

I am spending a lot less time on BYC also.

Now on a positive note. My silkie babies are growing up and so-so cute.
