I have one Gold Neck Booted Bantam. Kris saw his color and fell in love. I tried to send him home with them but they don't care for all those feathers on the feet and legs.

Otherwise, they would definitely have had a new breed from me. I take NO responsibility for Kris looking into d'Anvers. Uh, other than I mentioned them. I know nothing about the breed other than what they look like.

LOL
You, Miss Mary, already knew you loved Silkies! I just let you experience them enough to know you wanted better quality and you became obsessed!
I can truthfully say I am only obsessed with chickens and ducks and Guineas as a whole.
Okay, now that I think about it and for anyone that has been to my place I must admit that I may be a tiny bit obsessed with bantam Cochins. But just a very tiny bit.

Had a 6 ft rat snake IN MY house (in spare bedroom) last year which was barely tolerable...Bear anywhere near me within a mile...NOT!!!!

Edited to say...YES...those miniblinds are aweful! I never go in there! Maybe somehow I knew there was a "Mr-No-Shoulders" in there??? AND why on earth would I have grabbed my camera instead of my GUN? gotta be old age...LOL

Okay, the bear stories make me cringe but that photo gave me the shudders! I found a small snake in my old single wide mobile home after Leah was born and that is why I realized we needed a better home. There was a hole in the floor at the front door when DH hit it with the truck (funny story but I won't get into that) and I am sure that is how it found it's way into the house but it was a small snake. Not like that big boy in your photo! Ick! I don't mind snakes if you hand them to me but I don't pick up wild ones.

Patsy, I have a few boxes around my house that look like the one the snake is on! LOL We shop at the same place!

Love the idea that you grabbed your camera first! Can't imagine the holes you would have put in the wall or busting out that window by shooting "Mr No Shoulders"!
And don't apologize for your house. Have you never been in mine?

OMG, Mary! She looks even better than when I saw her the first time! I did not know that was possible! She is a real beauty and I know you are going to love, love, love her! Good for you! I believe you totally deserve the blessings you have gotten recently!

And Patsy, your lady is nothing to sneeze at! She is quite lovely, too!

And Mary, that bear did do a number on your hives. It does look like you described. I hate that for you and the bees. So much money and time. My heart cries with you!

Gotta run! Several customers coming to buy a bunch of birds, chicks and hatching eggs for the next few hours. Busy, busy!

Whew! Glorious day outside! What a pleasure to have a job out there on a day like this!

I will setting up some egg auctions later today if anyone is interested. I have BLRW, Marans, Silkies, Frizzles and the MFC project eggs.

Now to go pull some fencing for duck breeding pens while waiting on the next customers. Gotta make hay ....or whatever....while the sun shines!

It sure is beautiful out today! Too bad I've wasted half the day catching up on some much needed rest! The chickens are now out enjoying the sunshine! Hope everyone has a great day!
