The Crazy Chicken Lady
Yancy knows! He sexed the ones I hatched here and was right! He does his homework on a breed before he gets it! Tells me all kinds of neat stuff.

I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful day! I did! Did family duties this morning, feed mill & Amy's this afternoon, & an auction this evening! I was so hoping to find some wire cages...but no luck.
We have 2 baby goats born yesterday....pictures taken today - they will probably go up on FB sometime tomorrow. I am tired now. These were babies #3 & #4 for 2010 - 2 were born the day before that!
Have a great night everyone....sweet dreams! I am heading my old tired self to bed!
(You get worn out when you go visit and accidentally let chickens out)![]()
LOL I told you not to worry about catching them.
I let the Silkies out to free range in the evenings anyhow! I like my birds to get plenty of grass to eat as I think that makes for healthier birds, healthier hatching eggs and happy chickens! Silly thing entertained me and Nicole for a while trying to get those Silkies back up. But at least you got that corn out of poor Lyza's nose. This morning her nostril looks normal. Amazing considering how big that piece of corn was!

Sorry. I had not read as far as your answer so did not know you had already told Patsy how to tell the genders. I can't remember exactly what he told me since I only hatched that once batch of Polish that someone sent me but what he said turned out to be true. Gosh, has it been a year already?

I wasn't watching too closely as I was watching Nicole operate on the Silkie's nostril! LOL But the huffing and puffing and a scream here or there was pretty interesting. I am not sure if it was you huffing and puffing or the Silkies as they ran past. They were having a blast playing keep away! I never heard a grunt so I suppose you didn't fall but the one scream was when I thought you ran into the tree limbs but I think you said it was when you thought you had one in the fence but it got away.
And it was cool to see Nicole with her arms out stretched after that big lavender Muscovy drake. I never remember my camera! He was huge in her arms once she got him! Funny, curly headed boy!
ohh goodness I'm SO excited! I just went and got 2 sweet little BB red OEGB hens. Thanks so much Joy for getting me in touch with Jean! She was sick so I didn't get to meet her but her husband was so nice and showed me all their birds. THEN Jackie messaged me and I'm getting her trio of Mille Fleur D'anvers! Excited doesn't begin to describe me right now! I cannot believe that DH didn't give me a hard time about the trio. I think he's finally giving up on me and the chickens haha..![]()

On a totally different note, I'm not getting notification emails that there's new posts on the SC thread when there are...any ideas why? The thread is still under my subscriptions and I have it set to notify immediately when there's new comments.
