Ok...so I was totally not prepared for how freakin tiny button quail are...I have one each out(button and Cortunix)...YIKES!!

OMG they are TINY and CUTE and just wait til they get big enough to sing/talk/whatever they do! I miss mine!

Mine died...so I will say, they do best around 70 degrees! (68-72) Mine did, anyway!

I am getting so excited about the show! We have a room reserved to stay in -- which was DH's suggestion. I think he is looking forward to it too! I can not wait to see what my DD thinks of all the birds!!

And it will be wonderful to meet Samantha and her family and all the other BYC people that will be there.

Kimberly, are you bringing me something too? And I must find Mary for some honey!!

Well, it is raining here right now and with that dampening thought I must go outside and take care of my bird kids.

When is everyone going to Newnan? We had a hotel room booked for Friday and Saturday but that just seemed overwhelming with trying to figure out how to care for the chickens here and what to do with the kids for two days. We're thinking about just driving down Saturday morning. I think a full day will be plenty!

We are driving up Friday afternoon and them coming home Saturday. Most of my bird's pens have feeders and waters that should last them a day and a half.

One of these years, you will be able to leave over night because your LGDs will take care of everything for you!!!! Well, not the feeding .... but still....

I am counting the days till Newnan. I wish things would have worked out to go down Friday afternoon. The silkie social would have been fun. I'm not a party person but it would be great to talk with and learn from the best silkie breeders.

Don't ya know I hate missing that! I so want to clear Friday out! I was so eggsited about Newnan, that I thought I had scheduled my doc appointment for LAST Friday. Got ready and got there and was WRONG!

I have purplish red hair right now.........not sure what color it will be by Saturday though. I may change that again.


UMMM I am going today to get a photo shirt made.....if they have something besides WHITE....so I will be wearing that Saturday - will have a picture of my silkies on it......... either one, or a row of silkie butts!

Yes Mary I think I'm still going. DH has to work anyways, so I figured that was a good excuse to go.

I just really want to go to a big show and see what it's all about. I'm going to bring my camera and take LOTS of pictures that I can drool over later on!
