IDK...I have begun to get used to the BYC site again after their changes! I hope no one leaves! I guess I need to check out FB again! I kinda got away from my FB page after getting birds and finding this site and sooo many wonderful friends here!!! How will we ge on the "same page" on FB? I really should understand it all better since I work IT...but I just develop, implement, manage, and support JDE databases...LOL

I told you I was getting punchy there on the way home. I could not stop laughing. Then Basil had to try and be a mountain goat in the back on the crates! The roosters just thought going through the chicken diner was TOO much!

It was a blast but we always have the best time when we get together. Poor Jackie was exhausted, as I know you were. I came home and did chores and Leah cooked me some supper but Terry ate it all so I ordered a pizza to be delivered. It was a good day and I am blessed with such great friends!

I meant to check your arm again yesterday. I was going to see if it was smaller. Meant to ask. Too little sleep for all of us!

I could not see anything with all that tarp pulled down. I would have helped get it up but there was so much water! I thought maybe you were giving your chickens their own pool!

Don't feel bad. I was showing Jackie some of my most excellent Frizzle chicks in blue, buff/blue and MF. Forget to tell her that the brooders were not really that dirty! It was dirt and grass clod remnants from the night before! She probably thinks I never clean the brooders but I swear I cleaned them Friday night and added fresh grass mounds to them. My chicks get grass and dirt from 2 weeks on up.

We just got a wc blue girl and hope to have a boy this week. She is gorgeous

How awesome Susanne!!! I did see the pics of the Polish with your beautiful blue eyed children....did not realize one was a WC Blue! Hope you/he gets that matching roo! I must visit again soon to see all your new additions! The trio of marans I got there are great and turned out so far to be one cockerel and 2 pullets but the sad thing is the cockerel passed during one of my recent travel weeks (for work!) He looked like he was going to be so pretty too! I hate that and need to be looking for a guy for the 2 ladies left!

I will probably not post often anymore.

This is the only thread I really visit on BYC - sometimes I do check the chicken shows & stocks section, but not often.

Spring is coming and much to do.

I will be on FB as much as possible...matter of fact, it is always logged on due to the cellphone

You can keep up with me via either my FB page (in my signature) or my personal FB Page. I will check in as I can over here. Probably at least twice a week!

Twice a week works! Just don't leave us high and dry!!! I try to follow FB but once getting on here and meeting so many wonderful people I tend to hang here most of the time...

OK Here Are The Cuties!!!!! I'll try not to post to many pics, but I'm so excited they are FINALLY here!!!
A Box of Fuzzy Babies...Notice alot are black and Most are Blue...But one is Brown with a Gray back...Gotta Love the Mutts!!


This one is Lemon and Baby Blue...Thinking part Orp? or EE?
With the leg color I would guess part Orp but look to the cheeks and comb to see if you have a part EE. Those EEs can throw all kinds of colors but so often you still have the colored legs, muffs and possibly pea comb.


BlkJGxBlueJG baby? I have two like this.
With the color and size of those legs I think you have the right of it. That comb looks boy, too.



This is my Runt Blue EE...It's feathers are going ALL kinds of ways. But it eats and drinks and plays and sleeps!

Pretty sure this is a BlkEE Odd buff spot on it's right side of it's head. Not sure cause of it's leg color.
Maybe EE, maybe an odd one from the Barred Rock girl. Hard to tell at this age. The legs are thinner than the other one or I would also guess at the JG. This one will be fun!

Solid Black Chick....Guess BlkJG or EE?
Leg color suggests JG but those EEs can carry so much I hate to be definite. Certainly makes me think JG girl.


OK so here's some of my new babies. If you wanna help with who the momma is Please Feel Free... Daddy is a Blue JG...oh and I'm prettty sure no one has a Barred Rock momma(cause no one has a spot on the back of their head) so it's BO, EE, or BlkJG. OH and I put 6 EE eggs in the bator and all 6 hatched.

I think you did real well guessing who the mamas might have been. You were spot on to what I was thinking but don't discount the BR because of spots though. It can be something to fool one. The roo has melanizers, too, even though he is blue.

I can tell you about those EE or Ameraucanas....they are right on when breeding. My roos and hens have always been extremely fertile. I bred Ees for many years and always got great hatch rates with them, no matter what roos or hens I put together. my Ameraucanas have been the same. All the eggs I had shipped in did very well and now they are giving me great fertile eggs. If all my breeds did so well I would not have to pluck, trim and threaten any of them!

I will be on FB and the other site now that it is up and running. I have tons of friends on this forum but they may all be moving soon. So many have gone to just FB or emailing me privately and seldom get on here anymore since it is a real hassle now. I have so many more keystrokes to make on this site and it is not nearly as easy as FB or the other site. Why work this hard when I don't have to? This site is really complicated now and takes too long to post on and get around on.

I haven't experienced that many problems adjusting to the BYC site changes but I do not buy/sell/auction yet online and I know a lot of you do! All I do is troll and read and talk some...I am going to get back to FB that I kinda dropped after finding this site (all I really did on FB was play silly farming games) and hope we all figure the best way to keep up with each other! I sure don't want to lose any of my new found WONDERFUL and CHERISHED friends! I will be here on BYC and I will try to get back to FB also! I love all my bird friends and do not want to lose even one!!! You guys/gals have really changed my life from secluded in my bubble to being very social! And in such a short time.....OK....maybe it was the chickens??? NAAAAA...it definitely is all you great human peeps out there!!!! Before getting a few discarded free roamer game/RIR mixes I never expected how much joy a person could add to their life with fowl and the peeps that share the joy!!!
