My MFd'Uccles threw three procelain chicks....teddi's line I was told had porcelain in them...Still Cute!


ON another note....I have found homes for one maybe two of my extra roos!!! I hope they take both tomorrow!!!

Yeah Yancy, congrats on the sale of the roos. So in the picture those sorta look like my chicks. I wonder what color mine are. The are a gold neck roo over a white hen. The gold neck is booted bantam, the hen is d'uccle.

Maybe they will be porcelain ? Any thoughts?

Just found this over on the show/swap etc thread.

Its about a chicken swap on the NC/Ga border. Sounds like it should be a big one, and they need folks there with birds to sell.

What Color is the d'Uccle hen? if it's MilleFleur and the Roo is Gold neck then you could get white cast offspring. I'm not sure how the porcelain gene(color) comes out. My MFd'Uccles have porcelain in their bloodline....But I will say this...I LOVE MIXED CHICKS, they have cool coloring. I'm no pro but I like what I see!!! Also booted bantam and d'Uccles are not the same. So make sure you tell people that they are mixed incase they are looking for pure breeds. I bet the Babies will be Awesome!!!!!

Yancy, no doubt I would let folks know they are mixed. The hen is White d'uccle and the roo is the goldneck, booted bantam. If I understand the white is recessive, and I dont know what she came from.

Amy, here is a quick picture of the 3 musketters. Minnie Pearl (bride) and Nepolean (Toby)

babies. Will be interesting what they feather out to be.

OMG, they are so wonderful! Feather legs are dominant so I expected that but the beards and muffs are there on 2 of them! Looks like you have a gold and 2 white based ones that I am sure will have gold leakage so this will be awesome to see how they grow up. They are just too cute! Give the babies loves from me and extra kisses to the parents. I miss them but know they are in great hands!

Oh, here is a picture of the bantams and turkey.

Now keep in mind, poor Tom is moulting the bantams are in a pen in the stall. Well when Robert went down to lock in the turkeys and chikens, it seems that we had a issue.

Opps Someone didnt lock the Bantams cage door. here is what we found

Actually Amy, all 3 have the beard and muffs, just one of them has less size to it. I really am looking forward to seeing them feather out. They are so tiny.

Yep, dear Tom is so docile, and good with all the other birds, the Turkey hen has him beat down. I feel for him, Turkey hen is on a nest of a few turkey eggs and 5 guinea eggs.
