Yeah, I put a lid on top of the bucket.  I figured it would help keep "junk" out of the waterer.  As far as algae growth goes, I've only been using it for about 2 weeks now, but no algae as of yet.

well that is encouraging!
I like it cause it minimizes water toting. It's also useful with a mobile shelter.
I'm not a big fan of water hoses stretched all over, but I can make do.

Well I moved the incubator last night shortly after the post. I had it running (empty) all night long to see if I could get the temp and humidy to regulate. The temp and humidity stayed constant overnight, but the humidity was a little high. So I got my DH to fiddle with it today while I was working to see if he could get it to stay constant and at a reasonable temp and humidity. Thankfully, when I got home this evening from work he had it set up and ready to go (Yay).. I guess moving my incubator to my back room was an awesome idea because now I have a great steady temp and reasonable humidity.. So I watched it for about 3 hours to make sure it was definitely constant, and then set my eggs. Here goes attempt #2.. I just know this hatch is going to be so much better than the last.. I'm crossing my fingers and praying.. I'll update as the hatch progresses..

Good Luck!!!! I will say this if the humidity bounces around just a bit it's all good. just keep it around 50% til the eggs get ready to hatch. SO on Lockdown get it up to 50ish and leave it. Just don't let it get below 30ish cause that's just alittle to dry to hatch. What happens is the membranes stick to the chicks cause it dried to them(I had this happen)....But if the humidity is real like 80 the chicks can drown in the shells. around 50 is about right cause when they do start to hatch there is A LOT of moisture in those eggs and it will spike the humidity this is ok but can make it take longer for the chicks to dry. OH and I leave my chicks in the bator atleast 24hrs. if they are alittle weak and still wet longer. AGAIN GoodLuck!!!!!

Thank you moonchild for all your helpful advice. My humidity is staying pretty constant between 39 and 40 and the temp is constant at 100. It just started storming here so I'm unsure if the temp or humidity will decide to jump up overnight (hopefully not).. Gonna peep in my back room one last time and then head to bed. I've got to be at work at 8am in the morning.. It's going to be a long day tomorrow for sure.. Goodnite everybody..pleasant dreams <3

You gotta admire their spunk! I couldn't bear to look at something like that tractor in my yard, but hey - whatever moves you.

On the Muscovy, I would think one male may have to go but they should be fine until next spring breeding season. I have had only one drake in with my girls at a time but when I let them out to free range with the other ducks my Muscovy drake gets quite rough with the other drakes. And one time my Lavender Muscovy drake tried to kill my young Runner drake so I am careful with the Muscovy. The other breeds just bump around a lot and never hurt each other.

Thank you for the info. I guess I will keep an eye out for Drake aggression in the meantime. Right now all four are pretty happy with each other.

The only aggression type issues that I have seen so far is the Muscoveys are sometimes biting the wings of the Silkies when they get too close. They all share the same area. But I think that is just territory issues. I only see it happen if one of the hens moves into the ducks personal space...

Anyone know what is going on with BYC? I am getting emails to threads I never subscribed to? Anyone else have this problem? I am going into lock down today. I am a little worried because my temp is fluctuating and I like for my temp to be stable. The next hatch will be in a better location than the dining room! Something like a closet might be better.
