Hopefully your 1st chick experience isn't like mine. Just so happened someone else had ordered chicks from the same place I did, and they came in on the same day. They gave him both boxes! Luckily, the kind gentleman lived about a mile away from us and dropped them by the house.I got someone on the phone! I was starting to panic - 1st chicks anxiety in full effect. The retail location on N. Pleasantburg gave me the direct number our carrier supervisor. She said they'd call me as soon as they come in to the Main Post Office - maybe after she played with them. LOL Turns out she has friend who raises them too so she knows how important it is to get them home quickly. YAY!
Hey... So here is a random question.. Not even sure if its an "ok" question to ask... But how many of you will be showing at the state fair in the fall? Is there a secret BYC signal I should be wearing to make it easier to identify fellow BYC members... Like a bat signal, but instead a chicken signal? I know it's technically a competition.. So I was not sure if that is a kosher question to even ask amongst the showing folks.
Gosh, you guys have all been busy in this heat! Hubby was back in the hospital. He had a heart attack. His bypass grafts didn't take and they can't fix them. I will be selling a lot of chickens. Now to decide who goes and if any stay. Don't know how to pick who I want to keep. So much work and energy put into them. I am so attached to them.
