South Carolina

I know chicks grow fast, but wow! Since Sunday its like they've doubled and now have a bunch of little feathers popping out. So now I'm trying to get my coop & run built and cannot for the life of me find welded wire smaller than 2" x 4" or 1" hardware cloth in rolls longer than 10'. I've looked at TSC and checked the website of Lowes & Home Depot with no luck. Is there some place special in the Upstate to get this stuff from?

And is there a specific size you would recommend? I'll be shutting them in at night with an automatic coop door.
Check at Ace Hardware. That's where I usually buy 25 ft rolls.

This sounds cool. What part of the building will it be in? Should be lots of fun to watch.
Sorry just saw your post, somehow I missed it earlier.

We have use all of Hall 1 and Hall 2. The AKC invite for non entered dogs will actually be held in Hall 2, which is where we have the obedince rings and some specialty rings.

IF you have any other questions let me know. The AKC invite is only being held Sat and Sunday, I beleive the hours are 9 - 4, but I will have to get back with you on the hours.

I hope you join us.

Okay, either I goofed up or I have a premature hatch.
I have a hatch due on the 15th right... wrong........
I went to pull the eggs out of the turning racks and put them in the hatching trays today.
from the time I came home till a little bit ago. 17 out of my 20 had already hatched ( the other 3 have hatched now)
-- I am impressed a perfect hatch and I did not candle them the first time ) --
BUT the bad news. I had to take two out of their misery because they got caught in the turning racks.
4 of the 12 of Earls also already hatched.
So I must have thought it was a different day when I set them lol.
I am so glad I bought that Incubation Manager software. now I can blame bad hatch dates on the computer program
I knew getting computerized with hatching was a mistake. this never happened before when I had hatch calendars posted on all the walls.
but my new girl did not like it as wallpaper. I sure wish some of you chicken moms would come teach her a thing or two. LOL

I am a JDE database support tech at work...and I have hatching calendars on the wall...the write on / wipe off kind of LARGE wall calendars!!! LOL...Tell her even the Geeks say do it "old school" !!! Funny thing...my last hatch I went in on day 18 to move them from my incubator with turners to the one I let them hatch in and most had pipped and some had zipped in the turner!...maybe the extra heat or humidity or lack of humidity of the outside had "helped" them along? IDK...was the first time this ever happened. I hate you had the ones get tangled in the turner...I sure have been watching closer and worrying thinking that could have happened to mine!!!
