Hi! Thank you as well. It is great to have so much help so close by! But, as you may have read, at least so far, my broody is off the nest! I am hoping she will stay off as is is SO hot in the coop. Thanks again!!!

Thank you SO much, but the snake seems to have been able to accomplish what I have not been able to do for 2 months!!!  My broody has been off the nest all day! I am going to go and get the sulfur stuff, where did you get yours?  We are in Boiling Springs.  Thanks!

Hey! My DH is from Boiling Springs! Not too far from the Walmart. We lived there for a couple years when we were first married. My aunt also runs the Boiling Springs Barber shop on 9 to Inman.

Wow! What a small world! We live over by Pearson's, in an older subdivision between the Old Furnace Road and Parris Bridge Road triangle. Hi from good ol' Boiling Springs!

You should be able to get Sulfur at Walmart, Lowes or a feed store. It is used in gardening some. I just use it for snakes.

Home Depot sells it in small white bags in the pest control area as "Snake Away."

I have been majorly MIA the past month or so! I hope everyone's doing great! I'd love to read all the posts I've missed but it is a whopping 342 so I don't think that'll be happening! I've been a little preoccupied because my husband and I got some big news a few weeks ago. I'm pregnant! I still can't believe it, but we had our first ultrasound yesterday and got to see the little baby's heartbeat. It was amazing! (Like the ultimate candling of an egg!!!) Hopefully I'll do better keeping up on here but just wanted to share my news!

If anyone has a friend who is thinking about getting a few baby chicks, TSC in Greer has their Chick Starter kits on clearance for $6.99. Its a cardboard carry box w/air holes and includes a 1-qt feeder, 1-qt water, 5' dia. roll of cardboard draft guard, a sample bag of Dumor chick starter, and about $20 of coupons. I bought two just in case. The quart waterer & feeder alone cost a couple bucks more.

OH AMY---You where right. The first d'Uccle egg hatched and they killed it.

Yes two broody moms are not a good thing if the nest is too close together. SO I just could not let them kill the rest of them so I ran inside unboxed the bator plugged it in and waited til it got to atleast 95 ran outside and grabbed up the other five eggs and hurried to the bator. While I was flying like a madman I could hear pippin from some of the eggs. GOSH i hope they make it, even if I didn't want anymore babies...Oh Well I just couldn't let them murder anymore. The one they killed was porcelian also...
