South Dakota

Welcome waving from SW Nebraska here. Holy moly it's cold isn't it?
Chickens are a hoot to care for. I have a small backyard flock of 4 hens . Isa , RIR. And black Australorp. They are all so different! Enjoy them so glad you joined us. You will learn a lot from these other wise folks here.

Hi, I am from South Dakota and fairly new to the chicken world and eager to learn a lot. Currently we have about 70 hens, ISA's mostly, but an Americana as well as some Astralorps. Our Roosters are ISA, Barnmix and 2 Saphires (excuse if they are spelled wrong) We also have 70 pullets, a good mix of ISA'S and Astralorps.
My husband had me started on chickens here in October and I started to sell eggs. Love the individual personalities of all chickens.
Welcome to BYC!

Hey, South Dakota Living! That is freaking cold! You might want to move your question out of the Introductions forum to maybe Managing your flock, or Emergencies. You're much more likely to get helpful answers those places. Country Girl only showed up that one day, Jan. 1, 2022, and never came back.
