Yes, thank you, and I have seen I think every article on cold weather. However, the issue is very specific to ones' location, I think. It's so helpful that folks from all over the world belong to this blog! I'm so grateful for everyone's help and input.

Hi, I am from South Dakota and fairly new to the chicken world and eager to learn a lot. Currently we have about 70 hens, ISA's mostly, but an Americana as well as some Astralorps. Our Roosters are ISA, Barnmix and 2 Saphires (excuse if they are spelled wrong) We also have 70 pullets, a good mix of ISA'S and Astralorps.
My husband had me started on chickens here in October and I started to sell eggs. Love the individual personalities of all chickens.

I too am from South Dakota - Sioux Falls. Where are you from in South Dakota!
