Nope, no chickens this time. (^: Just picked up a nice outdoor dog run/kennel for my 3 hen's new home. I don't think it's big enough for more though.

My mom said she's coming again, and we might even get my dad to come... if you can get him to fall for the Seramas then there might be a car full of chickens coming back to SD with us.

I was able to locate a D'anver Belgian Quail roo so I no longer need one - just happened across him and hubby completely understood breaking my promise of not buying anymore birds. So, as it stands, I will at least be making a swap for a hen - wonder if something will catch HIS eye???

OK, I am feeling brave today, [I usually chicken out at the last minute when it comes to posting this] I really need to rehome 1 of my LF hens as she can be naughty on the roosting pole at night and pick on the others...the problem is the "others" are seramas so it isn't a fair fight.
Girlybird is a 1 year old gamey mutt, I have had her since she was 1 month old. She just went thru her molt so should be laying again soon.

The other hen is Gabby and she is a small LF austrolorp/mix. I have had her about a year now and I do not know how old she is [if I had to guess it would be between 2-3 years] She just molted and is laying again. She is very laid back and lays very consistanly. This girl I do not have to rehome, but if the right home came along, well.........maybe.....

Also I have a friend who is a professional photographer, not a chicken owner (lives in apartment) but I was thinking of inviting her she loves new subjects and I think she will be amazed how many different colors, shapes and sizes poultry have to offer!

Ok, I will be there around 8 or 8:30 am just to make sure we get the same gazebo for ourselves. I don't want to see any one feel left out, so who want some strong iced coffee???? We all can talk chicken over a good cup of joe...
