MORE of Bills chicken hoarding comes out in the open....HMMM just where are all these birdies coming from Bill??? How many more are you hiding in the closets and bathrooms and sheds, and garage, and spare bedrooms, and basements, fess up time guy!

are you trying the mexican wire trick...???


get a coat hanger or some kind of wire like that... and fold the tip like a hook... but make it wide, then make it tight towards the end... but just enough that the leg will go in, but the foot can't slip out... then just get close, hook the leg, and tada... they flap around and stuff, but that's normal...

that's how i catch all of my flyaway birds...

Actually we have a live trap with scratch inside. We open the garage door a bit, just enough for the strays to walk in and out, and just wait. We've been feedign them often so they aren't too afraid of getting inside the garage. XD

I really hope Froggiesheins can take this stray pullet. There are still 3 more to catch and find home for them...

AWW yer a good egg Gumbii, I have one at home I really need to rehome because of all my seramas. She is just too big and sometimes she gets ornery at roosting time and pecks and is a bully. I THINK she hurt Sara and that is why she passed.......the night before she died Girlybird was being mean and pushing her off the roosting bar....
This is Girlybird and she is LF......She is a year old last month and I have had her since she was one month old.....She knows her name and will take treats out of my hand / jump for treats too. I can handle her but she is that normal gamey skittish..LOL

Two of the leftover strays look like twins, light brown with some black dots/freckles on their necks, and there's one white one that looks almost like a columbian colored chicken, with black dots on her neck too. They are very skittish and do not trust people at all, so it will take a while to catch them all, but when we do, and if they turn out like the one we have atm, way too scared of people, then I'll send you a PM Gumbii about them and see if you like them.

Color aside, this is how their bodies look like, my three pullets are from that flock that we found lost and cold in March. the poor chicks were hiding at night on our front yard

, so we decided to keep them instead of returning them to the street flock and risk having them killed by something/someone. All three about the same age, a week or two apart I think, but you can see how different their sizes are.
