Southern CA Swap meet-up / Funday!

You guys can bring anything you want just like the last meeting the only difference is we will talk more about the serama for those who are interest in the breed. Yes, we will have a sale area. As you know, united as a group we stand and individually we will fall. We did pretty good as a group on our last meeting.

How much do these usually cost? Am interested in getting one eventually but definitely need to re construct a few things before I get one. Im about 75% sure I will be there. I think a newer thread will probably get more attention on its own. As this event has already passed.

A few of us sort of thought just to keep this thread going because so many people have it on their "favorites" list. :-)
Also there is no date on it......Joey is a better source as far as prices go. You can get pet quality for next to nothing and show quality for about $100 and up. Ocseramas, carahamer, sunnycalifornia, chef glenn [all were at the meet-up] could give better info on prices as well. Hope too see you on the 14th! P.S. how is your sweet hen doing with her leg?????

Got ya froggie. She is doing fine. We bandaged it up like you suggested and also got a hold of some antibiotics. Gave her some and seems to be in good spirits minus the leg. She hasn't tested it yet and just hops on one foot. She has learned to use her wing as a crutch. Yesterday I picked up some crickets for her and she had no problem chasing them one one leg

This guy is Limpy my "extended family" roo. He lives at the horse stables. He is almost 2 yrs now and has been hopping on one leg his whole life. He got his drumstick broken by a horse when he was a chick.

We are best friends and I look out for him. The ONLY time he had any problems was when we had that hot day, last summer, of 113. He just could not get up to his roosting spot, too tired, so I had to help him. I notice that they tire just alittle faster than a normal chicken, so lots of carbs & protiens to keep up their stamana and I would suggest maybe some electrolyes in the water in the summer. You can get it in powder form from the feed stores--or a splash of infant electrolytes....just a thought.
Kisees to your girl, and if you do come to the May 14th meet-up bring her with!

Froggie, is that an american game roo? It looks like one of mine and he is a mean one. I got 3 american games and he is the most aggressive one.

I was told by another BYC member that he is most likely a redquill mix. AGF mix for sure. He is a teddy bear & sweetie with me. I think because of his leg, he is very non-agressive and a loner. We have adopted eachother. I can pick him up and snuggle with him and he LOVES it. He hangs out in my horses stall and waits for me to come everyday to feed him.
