Sounds pretty cool!! I don't really know pigeons at all, but I know they are a relative to the beautiful mourning doves that I feed everyday, and I admire the flock of pigeons that flies to and fro across the interstate near my house. I can tell they aren't the run of the mill city pigeons, but I don't know what they are. I throw feed out to them too. What the heck...

I know I'm not that close to L.A., but the chicken meets I've been to near San Diego have been really fun. Its fun doing our co-op feed order, and meeting and chatting with friends. It takes a lot of work for the organizers, so I really hope that everyone will give Froggie and extra handshake or hug, for getting this all together.

BTW... two weeks and counting!!

Farmerboy, OR any one else that might be interested, I can bring a white silkie roo to the meet-up if you are interested in him. He lives at the stables where I keep my horse, and the owners want to get rid of him. I see him everyday and feel so sorry for him, he needs a home. He roosts on a soft chair every night all by himself. [hes not stupid hee hee] All the other birds there are AFG mutts so he has no one to talk too, I think they all laugh at him.

ya'all PM me if ya want me to bring him with!

I'm driving up from Escondido, with a backseat full of chickens.... probably. My passenger seat is open, but I've already committed to the Frog to getting there early to set up. If you are game for that, let me know, I'll pick you up along the way!

I am SOOOO game for that! I was born to help set up too! Umm... Hello?! You got me at,"a backseat full of chickies"!

So far this is what we got: Show up you get one raffle ticket for the grand prize. Raffle items donated: you get another ticket. [ question now, should it be one ticket for each item you donate???]

All monies collected from the raffles will go into a pot and we will draw for the grand prize. (the freebie tickets that you get for showing up and donating to raffle will go into this pot).

MY IDEA SO FAR: 1st place 50% of that pot / 2nd place 30% of pot / 3rd place 20% of pot. Ya'all please let me know what you think of this idea........

Still have to figure out time frame for raffle and grand prize and should ALL raffle items have ticket prices the same or not??

You HAVE TO BE PRESENT for the grand prize and raffle drawings.
Man>>> the frogs' brain is going to mush now.........ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ land here I come.......

I'm planning on attending! I have a white Silkie pullet and am looking for a young black & white Serama pullet. I do retirement home visits with animals, and the chickens are always well-received! My last Serama passed away, so my girl needs a friend with a great temperament. I also am always looking for feathers as I make crafts with the older ladies with them.
