Hi Sherry,

I am in Ballard, south of Hinton on Rt 12.

I have Porcelain Belgian d'Uccles, Silkies and Frizzle bantams. For layers, I have a white Leghorn hen, a RIR hen and a hen that looks like a mini Barred Rock. I have just put eggs from everybody but the Silkies in the incubator and I have an order of RIRs, Buff Rocks and Red Stars coming next week from a hatchery.

What do you have (besides DQ hot dogs)?

I live in McDowell County, the most southern part of West Virginia.I was born and raised here but left and came back so I could I retire. Raising chickens is just a hobby I love,I've been doing it 3-4 yrs. Currently I have 8 different breeds of heritage breed egg layers plus a crested cream legbar rooster. I've never incubated any of my chicks .They're all hatchery chicks! Recently I made an incubator so I can hatch my own chicks but I prefer waiting so my hens can raise them for me!
