I have to add to this. I have been using her soap for about 2 weeks now. The only bad thing is it made me realize all these years I've been throwing money away on storebought products that are completely inferior and do nothing for my skin.

Trisha, I just ordered a couple bars of soap from you, can you just use the gingham to wrap them? We like to let our soaps set out and harden a bit..seems to last longer? I am so excited to try your soap. I have five daughters and I am thinking Christmas??

Thanks! Gingham wrapper it is. No problem.

Edited to add: Yes, the older a bar is the harder it will be and the longer it will last.

I just placed an order with Southern for a wedding shower gift basket. I am sure they will not get another like it! This soap sounds good enough to eat.
Trisha how did you get into making soap, is it a family thing?

Handmade soap has be be cured for 4 weeks before use. Most of the soap people get from me are between 2 an 4 months old. My Traditional Lye Soap is about a year old.
