Hi all,
I'm switching to a soy-free layer feed, and have the choice between two different formulas. Can I get folks opinion on which looks better? Here they are:

#1. Organic Corn, wheat, Peas, Alfalfa Meal, Fish Meal, Crab Meal, premix and Calcium

or...

#2. Organic Rolled Corn,Organic Barley,Organic Peas Organic Flax Meal, Organic Wheat Midds, Sea Kelp, Fish Meal DL Methionine, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Monocalcium Phosphate, Dicalcium Phosphate, Ferrous Sulfate, Manganous Oxide, Zinc Oxide, Iron Oxide, Ethylenediamine Dihydriodide, Sodium Selenite, Folic Acid, Copper Sulfate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Choline Chloride, Niacin, Vitamin E Supplement, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin, Biotin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, and Thiamine.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I would also go for 1

More meat ingredients and I know my ducks go nuts for peas. The cats have a food with field peas in it and the ducks act like it is candy or something

Thank you! If I had the mill for option #1 make a custom mix, is there anything I could add to make it better? I think I will see if they can add flax.

On a different but related note, does anyone know why juniper berries are sometimes added to chicken feed?
