Soy Free Feed

Hi

I have just purchased 25 pullets and want to feed them a soy free formula only. I would like to feed organic, but it does not need to be certified organic. I live in western Oregon. Does anyone know of a feed or a place to get such a feed without using soy as the protein source?

I don't know about anyone on your side of the country that does soy free, but on the east coast Countryside Natural has soy free organic. If you contact them, they may have some ideas of who makes it in the west.

What would you think about a fishmeal based feed? You may be able to work that out with a local mill. Or, they may already have it but it might mean keeping them permanently on a starter feed.
