soybeans for quail

Soybeans contain 40% protein are they a good choice for quail? Does anyone use them as feed?

my friend does but he said you need to soak them first so they do not swell up in there craw

Since posting this I learned not to feed quail or poultry raw soybeans. They have to be processed first or they could cause severe digestive problems. Learned that on google.
