Anyone close to Grant? My husband and I want to buy a few chicks and maybe ducks some time next week when we get back in town. We still have to build the tractor, so young chicks are preferred for now, until we have the coop up. We're looking for someone to sell us some chicks/ducks that haven't been fed medicated feed, as we want to go as au naturel as possible.

Tips/advice on building a tractor (and rabbit hutches) would be greatly appreciated. We're thorough researchers and can bleed the internet and paper resources dry, but we'd much prefer taking an "apprentice" type role and being able to interact and ask questions rather than just read and fill in the blanks by more endless hours of research. I hope I'm making sense right now but being pregnant leaves me getting blank stares some times. I guess my brain just doesn't work right these days.

If anyone could point us in the right direction, we would much appreciate it! We have no friends/family in the area, so we're out of luck for resources and connections.

chicken people probably have gardens too, so I'm asking to trade jubilee, goldie and bicolor tomato plants along with oregano, thyme, culantro and "mystery" hot pepper plants for a couple of RIR hens at leat 6 weeks old. Only 1 of my RIR's survived the dog attack and we really miss them.

If nobody has girls to share, I will still give away t hese plants, way too many plants for my small garden. At least 30 tomato plants. If you are not familiar with yellowtomatoes, they have less acid and to me they are sweeter. I like the heritage plants or pass alongs.............ready to pass some more along. Really hate to wste them.

I can help you with that. I have a nice collection of RIR girls, not a thing wrong with them, lay nicely, all 1 yr to just laying age. Only reason to rehome is 1 your grand daughter and 2 my egg customers prefer the colored eggs of my EE girls. So hatching more of them currently.

We are north end of Merritt Island, would love to have you come see the girls.

I "chickened" out. Told my son and let him tell my Erin about her girls. He was as upset as we still are. We did luck out in 1 way, Erin's 3 favorite chickens survived.
