Space requirements

I’m afraid I don’t have a way to safely free range them, nor do I have a garden for them to wander.

I have 6 ducks in a 90 sq ft area. There is plenty of space for their feed, water needs, and their coop. But, if they had more they would definitely love it. Mine do get yard time, but not every day. Build their area as big as you can, you won't regret it.

We have 3 ducks planning to go to 6. They have a secure 24 sq ft hutch at night, and 500 sq ft covered pen in the day with an 8x10 small pond. We struggle to grow things in the wet and digging, but it is big enough to stay clean-feeling.

We built this after originally keeping them in a 13x9 pen with semi covered garden to roam in. That was too small, wouldn't stay clean or dry out, and not secure. Our lesson was definitely bigger is better - so much easier to move in, maintain, clean, feed them, etc etc.
