This afternoon I was out with my girls letting them free range. the door to the coop was open as I like to let them go in if they need to. When i went back up there, there were two sparrows in the run. I assume they were picking up scraps from the ground. Should i let my girls back in? Or do I need to disinfect. I don’t know whether these kind of birds cary disease. I have a small pop up run I could put them in while I clean the run out. Any would be appreciated asap. Thank you!

In the meantime, they are happy outside enjoying the sunshine

I'd love to be able to keep the house wrens out of my coop! When the door is open, they fly in to eat the chicken feed. It's not the amount of feed consumed, although it does add up, it's the mites they bring in! Only keeping the coop closed will keep them out, and my birds like their free range time.
There are sparrow traps available online, but then what? Then it's necessary to shoot them, something I haven't been willing to do. Yet.
