He was a crazy like 80 year old. Once he told me he had that tank set up so if I found any big snapping turtles to throw them in it for him. He wanted to show one he had in it and when we went down through the ditch he stumbled. Instinct I reached for him to make sure he didn't fall. He yanked back from me and swung at me yelling not to ever try to help him again. He didn't need that sh!t.
I about died laughing. He was really cool

He does sound like a cool man, did he ever get more snapping turtles?

That sounds exactly like my grandaddy. He won't let us help him with anything. He even popped one of his spinal discs a couple years back cuz he wouldn't let us help him lift a log into the trailer he's a stubborn man and bull headed but he wouldn't be himself without it.

I catch them all the time but not on purpose I catch more turtles then fish. Some folks around here eat them and soft shell turtles. I've never tried it tho

Ya, they don't make them like that anymore. People thought I was hardcore or crazy cause I left the house at 5 to go to work. Most mornings when I was walking to my truck I could hear him out splitting wood or something already.
