I catch them all the time but not on purpose I catch more turtles then fish. Some folks around here eat them and soft shell turtles. I've never tried it tho

He ate them. The tank was for easy access for anyone to drop them off for him. Doubled as a "clean out" tank. Apparently you want to keep them several days without feeding them before you cook them.

Ya, they don't make them like that anymore. People thought I was hardcore or crazy cause I left the house at 5 to go to work. Most mornings when I was walking to my truck I could hear him out splitting wood or something already.

Yep I agree the guys nowadays just ain't the same but heck I guess neither are most of the girls. My grandad is one of the ppl I look up to most he is just so awesome, lived through so much history and wars and should have died more times then I can count but some how pulled through it all.
