Sparrows in coop eating all my hen's food

I've been having quite a time wither English sparrows eating all my hens food. While I do feed the wild birds outside the coop, I'm not fond of them when there's 50 of them all in the coop feeding on the hen's food. I did solve this and thought maybe my solution would work for others. All I did was tie string to several old CD's and hang them in the coop. I even hung one at the entrance of the coop. The sparrows no longer go in the coop. Apparently the sparrows are frightened by the shiny discs that move in the slightest breeze. The hens did check out the CD's, but after that the hens just ignored them.

I'd heard of the "cd scarecrow" for veggie gardens, did not consider using it in a chicken coop. Good tip!
