Spaying or Neutering Rats?!?!?

Hahaha I had just been reading about a new (to me,) way to kill them with a bucket of water and cat food floating on top! Then I saw your thread title and I thought, really? Something will neuter them? These BYC peeps have such excellent ideas I gotta read this!! LOL, Soooo much NO! To funny. Thanks. Now to fill up that bucket.....

FYI: Pet rats are occasionally neutered but they must be younger than 6 mos old and only certain vets are qualified. Definitely not for wild ones!

They can be neutered a little older but it may not have much of an effect. One of my boys bit and tore his brother's scrotum (and also pushed him off a ledge), so he got his own snipped off in return. His aggression issues did drop after that, at least enough that there weren't more fights of that severity, so I guess I'd call that a success.
