I'm getting ready to build a coop for six chickens. I live in the greater Montreal region, so winters are very cold. I also live adjacent to wooded areas where we have lots of predators (foxes, raccoons). And mosquitos—which I just read might be a problem.

What are some of the special considerations I need to make when building my coop?

Thanks for all your help!
