Special needs chicken

The crazy thing is I had an audience while burying her. These were the only chickens that followed me, the bottom 2 are part of the batch I got her (the only ones still alive) and the red laced wyandotte liked following her around whenever she had a chance (being a fellow wyandotte, she allowed this).

I have had this happen a few times... I often wonder if they mourn or if they are just hoping to grab a few bugs 🐛 lol 😆

Here's my final update: Freya passed away today. She fought hard for 4 months, the 2nd vet I went to (recommended by my og vet) said it was most likely something with her inner ear. Thank-you all for your advice and helpful suggestions, I just gotta hope she is enjoying her afterlife in the big flock in the sky with all her fellow fallen flockmates.
I'm sorry to hear about Freya:hugs

Thank you for letting us know.

I would agree if the whole flock rolled up, especially since I moved some old cinder blocks to cover her grave (didn't want her flockmates dust bathing in her resting place. Let alone predators). But only her close buddies came up, might be wishful thinking, but I would like to think they were saying goodbye in their own way.
