I'm getting some more Runner Duck eggs shipped out to me on Tuesday so we might be hatching close to the same date.

Now for the promised picture of my showgirl...still unsure on gender but this is CHER, the best diva name I could think of for a showgirl

If anyone wants to go out on a limb and guess egg or crow, I would love to hear your opinions

It was, wasn't it. I know they didn't have an easy journey because some of the eggs were on their sides in the carton.

Ducks take a little longer, don't they? Take some pictures as you go so we can see how your hatch goes too.

We had just gotten over the 2nd monsoon so yes probably wet. I know I thought the streamers but the comb just doesn't seem big enough.

Around 27-28 days. The person that sent me the eggs is sending more because she felt sorry that I only had 3 hatch. She sent 12 but 2 were infertile, the others all developed but 3 only hatched, 2 ducklings were so close to pipping but then died and the other 5 eggs all had ducklings in them but they didn't absorb their yolks. This year is so strange... I've had such bad luck with duck eggs this year...

Do you think it is the weather? My grandmother says lightening affects hatches.
