So I have chickens currently, been healthy since day 1. Mixed breed.
I had (not with this batch but another batch of chickens) quail raised successfully. No diseases till 8 weeks when a fox ate them.:barnie
Now I want to expand my flock again. I live in northern Alberta. I either want quail or pheasants. I am looking for ones that have been raised alongside chickens (built up immunity), but will I be okay with or without this?

Turkeys, peafowl, and quail can die when infected with a parasite that's not so serious in pheasants (natural host) or chickens. Look up 'blackhead' and/or Histomonas.
Maybe there are other issues; this is the one I remember. A neighbor lost half her peafowl over this one a few years ago!

There are many threads in the gamebird forums where people have lost game birds to diseases caused by close proximity to chickens and poor biosecurity practises between the two species. Coryza is the big one and is often carried by chickens without showing any symptoms. Game birds have less immunity to this due to less domestication/exposure and built up immunity over time. Some people get away with it but it's a big risk.
