One of my barred rocks and one of my buff orpingtons have been laying light brown eggs with white specks all over them. It is like their eggs didn't color all the way [IMG]
    Is this normal??

Either breed can lay a speckled egg. The same hen can have speckles one time and not the next, too.

My BR laid an egg the other day that looked like someone splattered lavender paint on it. Really small speckles.
